PRESS RELEASE

lək̓ʷəŋən (Lekwungen) Traditional Territory, of the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations (Greater Victoria, B.C), March 12, 2024:

Introducing smart automation to support First Nations' traditions and governance with a strategy and timeline tool for elections management; creating a quicker and easier way to accommodate community needs.

OneFeather have announced the release of the Elections Estimator, a tool that uses smart technology to help First Nations administrators and leaders manage upcoming elections. A useful tool for those who are looking for on-the-spot assistance, whether it be for long or short-term elections management services, managing voting events and members, consulting/policies for election code reviews, and more. By inputting a few details, auto responses are received according to the information; generating in minutes.

Indigenous-Centric Advanced Features

The tool leverages advanced AI to analyze and organize information, and present critical governance details and election timelines to the specific requirements of First Nation communities. Predicting the steps of crucial voting events and being a source for customized electoral needs, the Elections Estimator offers state-of-the-art technology combined with an unparalleled focus on sovereignty and tradition.

A Streamlined Approach

Available on both mobile and desktop, the interactive tool works by taking the user step-by-step, starting with their First Nation number, and collecting information about the type of vote they require. A draft is then created which provides timelines and strategy for the event, allowing the user to input their email to receive a budget proposal to help get them started.

Speedier and Simpler Elections/Voting Management

The scope of managing elections and voting events can vary depending on the Nation's size, an overwhelming task to be assigned to if there isn't a streamlined process already in place. It can be difficult to know where to even start. By going online and having the ease of automated answers according to the custom needs of the user, and helping begin the process with just a few taps of some buttons, it's not only a time-saver but also a stress-reliever.

Lawrence Lewis, Founder at OneFeather and member of We Wai Kai Nation explains why he decided to create this new product:

"The benefits are quick, easy and free! OneFeather does all the work in preparing a budget estimate for your next Chief & Council voting event."
