The project will include refreshing the look and feel of our website, assisting OneFeather with our core purpose of redefining the Indigenous experience through innovation and technology.

"The new OneFeather website will not only look beautiful, but it will also make it easier for their clients to find information and get things done," Says Jeff Ward, founder and CEO of Animikii. "At Animikii we're passionate about working with Indigenous businesses. Our team has a 16-year track record of delivering technology solutions exclusively for Indigenous-focused communities and organizations."

"I am Ojibwe and Métis, originally from Manitoba, and I now live and work in Victoria, BC on Lekwungen territory," says Ward.

Jeff Ward is known as a passionate advocate for leveraging technology to accelerate Indigenous resurgence throughout the world.

Based on the traditional territories of the Lekwungen Peoples in Victoria, BC, Animikii was founded in 2003 by Ward as a socially driven company aimed at building the capacity of Indigenous people through technology. Animikii is a Certified Aboriginal Business member of the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB), and is also the first Indigenous Certified B Corporation in Canada, which means the company is required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment.

In October 2019, the team at Animikii was recognized as Business of the Year at the Indigenous Business Awards in the largest category.

"Being a socially-minded, Indigenous technology company, not only do we have deep-rooted knowledge and experience within the Indigenous community, but we share the same goals of creating better outcomes for Indigenous Peoples," says Ward. "The Animikii team is focused on putting Indigenous tech on the map internationally and prove that Indigenous tech can lead to economic prosperity for Indigenous Peoples and our communities."

In 2020, the Animikii team will be building out their team and will be working to further develop of Animikii’s Indigenous data sovereignty product to complement the company’s existing digital services.
