In recognition of Truth & Reconciliation Day, we are sharing events, gatherings and activities happening on September 30th, 2025 across Canada that are free for Indigenous Peoples. Explore what’s going on — there may be one in a city near you.

British Columbia

What: Truth & Reconciliation Day 2025 — Honouring the Past, Healing the Present, Inspiring the Future (Facebook event page)
🕙 Hours: 10:00 AM Honour Walk begins→ programming continues at Grandview Park throughout the day, with cultural & contemporary performances, a sacred fire, and Indigenous market.
📍 Location: Vancouver Aboriginal Community Policing Centre, 1719 Franklin St, Vancouver → Grandview Park, 1657 Charles Street & Commercial Drive, Vancouver.
🎟️ Tickets: Free for everyone, no ticket required.

What: 4th Annual South Island Pow Wow
🕙 Hours: 10:00 AM Gates Open •12:00 PM Grand Entry
📍 Location: Royal Athletic Park, 1014 Caledonia Ave, Victoria
🎟️ Tickets: Free for everyone, no ticket required.

Alberta

What: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation at Heritage Park
🕙 Hours: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
📍 Location: Heritage Park, 1900 Heritage Dr SW, Calgary
🎟️ Tickets: Free admission for Indigenous Peoples at the front gates, as well as Heritage Park Members and Heritage Club VIPs.

What: Truth & Reconciliation Day at Fort Edmonton Park
🕙 Hours: 9:30 AM–10:30 AM Opening Ceremony • 11:00 AM–4:00 PM Indigenous Peoples Experience Hours
📍 Location: Fort Edmonton Park, 7000 143 St NW, Edmonton
🎟️ Tickets: Free admission for Indigenous Peoples — let staff know at the Box Office or reserve online in advance. Ages 11 & under are also free.

Ontario

What: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation at the Toronto Zoo
🕙 Hours: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
📍 Location: Toronto Zoo, 2000 Meadowvale Rd, Toronto
🎟️ Tickets: Free admission for Indigenous Peoples at the entrance gates (no online ticket required).

*Please note that parking, Zoomobile, and other onsite attractions still require payment.

Nova Scotia

What: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation — Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre
🕙 Hours: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with programming featuring resource tables and hands-on activities in the Joan Glode Room to support neighbourhood-level reconciliatory action.
📍 Location: Mi’kmaw Native Friendship Centre, 209–2021 Brunswick Street, Halifax
🎟️ Tickets: Free for everyone, no ticket required — all ages welcome.

Saskatchewan

What: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation — Program at Wanuskewin Heritage Park
🕙 Hours: 9:30 AM Park Opens • 10:00 AM Grand Entry & Opening Prayer • Programming and activities until the park closes at 5:00 PM
📍 Location: Wanuskewin Heritage Park, RR #4 Penner Road, Saskatoon
🎟️ Tickets: No ticket required — donations welcome.

What: Rawlco Radio Free Admission Day: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation 2025
🕙 Hours: 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM — includes hourly tours of Indian Theater: Native Performance, Art, and Self-Determination since 1969.
📍 Location: MacKenzie Art Gallery, 3475 Albert Street, Regina
🎟️ Tickets: Free for everyone, reserve online.

Manitoba

What: Orange Shirt Day Healing Walk & Pow Wow — Southern Chiefs’ Organization
🕙 Hours: 10:00 AM Pipe Ceremony •11:00 AM Walk • 1:00 PM Grand Entry for the Pow Wow
📍 Location: Oodena Circle at The Forks Market → then RBC Convention Centre, 375 York Ave, Winnipeg
🎟️ Tickets: Free for everyone, no ticket required.

What: National Day for Truth & Reconciliation — Manitoba Children’s Museum (Culture Days event)
🕙 Hours: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM (programming and activities from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
📍 Location: Manitoba Children’s Museum, 45 Forks Market Road, Winnipeg
🎟️ Tickets: Free for everyone, no ticket required — all ages welcome. First-come, first-served; capacity limited to 800.

Quebec

What: Every Child Matters — A Day of Action for Truth & Reconciliation Rally & March in Mount Royal Park (Facebook event page)
🕙 Hours: 1:00 PM Rally begins; march follows.
📍 Location: Begins at the Monument George-Étienne Cartier, Parc Mont-Royal; then marches via Parc Avenue, Sherbrooke & Mansfield to Boulevard René-Lévesque.
🎟️ Tickets: Free for everyone, no ticket required.
